VICTORIA’s latest release reflects on connection, identity, and emotional fatigue.
With a soft yet resolute tone, VICTORIA presents her newest work — the single “We Don’t Get Along” and its companion “Crumbs of a Modern Tragedy.” Melding spoken word with intimate songwriting, the project reads like a personal diary entry turned performance art.
“We Don’t Get Along” captures the emptiness in familiarity, where ties are frayed but never cut. VICTORIA’s restrained vocal delivery and the minimalist soundscape leave room for the listener to linger on phrases like “You’re just a way for me to run out the clock.” Every line feels intentional, like a confession whispered through a locked door.
Then comes “Crumbs of a Modern Tragedy,” a contemplative spoken-word piece dissecting the societal toll of curated perfection. It’s where VICTORIA’s songwriting turns into storytelling — spare but deeply resonant.
Explaining her inspiration, she reveals: “The story behind this project was born from the feeling that I was losing myself in the noise and the crowd — one of those thoughts that aren’t spoken out loud, but echo inside you louder and louder, until you finally let them out.”
She adds: “This isn’t a story where I complain or place myself in the role of a victim. It’s a raw narrative, with a hint of irony, about the world we live in. About the pressure to be perfect and constantly boxed in. About feeling like you’re on stage, but no one’s really seeing you.”
This dual release positions VICTORIA not just as an artist but as a modern narrator — one willing to document the spaces where silence and self-awareness meet.
