Laidback Luke returns to his roots with “It Clicked,” an unapologetic Dutch house anthem embracing his underground beginnings. Out now on Dim Mak.

Laidback Luke is redefining his sound with “It Clicked,” his latest single, out now on Dim Mak. Marking a return to his underground Dutch house roots, the track is a high-energy, rebellious anthem that reflects his renewed artistic freedom.

After years of adapting to streaming-driven trends, Luke is ready to reclaim his original identity. “For the last decade, I’ve been conforming,” he explains. “Now, I want to sound loud, harsh, and funky again—just like I did in the early 2010s.” Inspired by the gritty sounds of Bloghouse and Dutch house pioneers like Crookers and The Bloody Beetroots, “It Clicked” delivers pulsing rhythms and explosive energy.

Luke’s signing to Dim Mak marks a full-circle moment, as he reunites with Steve Aoki’s legendary label. “I told Steve, ‘Dude, I’m about to be signed to Dim Mak!’ and he said, ‘That’s an honor. Welcome to the family.’”

Known for mentoring global icons like Avicii and Afrojack, Laidback Luke has long been a key figure in the electronic music scene. Now, with It Clicked, he proves that his evolution as an artist is far from over.
