With “Gasoline & Matches,” Cameron Whitcomb explores emotional aftermath through powerful songwriting.

With “Gasoline & Matches,” Cameron Whitcomb returns to deliver an anthem of emotional endurance. Released via Atlantic Records, the single blends alt-pop energy with deeply personal storytelling.

Produced by Jack Riley, and co-written with Riley and Chance Emerson, the song’s message is clear: even when the physical remnants of a relationship are gone, memories remain. “You can pretty much get rid of everything except the memories,” Whitcomb says — a quote that cuts straight to the track’s essence.

This release follows the impactful “Bad Apple,” a track that earned immediate radio traction across Alternative outlets. Like its predecessor, “Gasoline & Matches” is raw, reflective, and built to resonate.

As Whitcomb’s 2025 continues to evolve, his artistic output remains prolific. His recent collaborations — including “My Expense” with Evan Honer — have revealed new sides to his musical voice, one rooted in vulnerability and melodic strength.
