Kassi Ashton & Parker McCollum release ‘Sounds Like Something I’d Say,’ a soul-stirring duet from Made From The Dirt: The Blooms.

Kassi Ashton unveils her latest collaboration, “Sounds Like Something I’d Say,” featuring Parker McCollum. The track, centered on mistakes and regret, is featured on Kassi’s upcoming deluxe album, Made From The Dirt: The Blooms, out April 25 via MCA Nashville.

Reflecting on how the song came together, Kassi shares:
“Parker is a great friend of mine and I love his voice. The first time I ever heard him sing this song, we were backstage at the Ryman. I knew I had to cut it and that he had to sing it with me.”

Parker, who had been hoping for Kassi to record the track for years, adds:
“Kassi has been one of my favorite singers in Nashville for quite some time. I had a demo in my phone of her singing this song for a few years. After begging her to record it for a long time, she finally said she’d do it if I’d sing on it with her. I’m so glad I decided to do it and I hope it hits all the feels when people hear it.”

With a Top 40 country radio hit, an ACM nomination, and a headline tour in 2024, Kassi continues her momentum into 2025, preparing to join Jon Pardi’s Honkytonk Hollywood Tour and perform at Audacy’s Leading Ladies event on April 3.
