Viola Odette Harlow embarks on a deeply personal artistic journey with her new album, “P*rn Star”, out now via Play Girl Records. Known for her evocative songwriting and cinematic soundscapes, Viola fuses electro-pop, synth-pop, and indie influences to create one of her most ambitious projects yet.
In “Prn Star”, Viola tells a story of resilience, identity, and self-acceptance. “‘”Prn Star” is a fairy tale, a tragedy, and a love story,’” she explains. “‘It’s about being misunderstood, about holding onto faith when no one believes in you, and about finding strength even when you feel completely alone.’”
The album’s latest single, “Imaginary Friend”, captures these themes with striking honesty. “‘I used to wonder if I could change my past, but I’ve realized that my struggles are as much a part of me as my triumphs,’” Viola reflects. The track’s accompanying music video brings this emotional depth to life with haunting yet mesmerizing visuals.
