The LA trio returns with a moving new record about emotional growth and creative reinvention.
On their sophomore album Growing Pains, LA trio Trousdale brings heartfelt lyricism and rich harmonies to the emotional terrain of change. The album — out now via Independent Co. — showcases the trio’s growth as both artists and storytellers.
“We’ve been thinking a lot about the tension that comes with change,” says Lauren Jones. “Wanting it, fighting it, embracing it — but learning to thrive in that moment.”
Quinn D’Andrea adds, “From what was, something new can always grow.”
Made up of D’Andrea, Jones, and Georgia Greene, Trousdale leans deeper into a country-pop aesthetic on Growing Pains, while embracing a more collaborative, organic recording process. With co-production from John Mark Nelson and co-writing from Mags Duval and Lawrence Rothman, the album was recorded primarily live — resulting in a sound that feels both polished and raw.
“Growing Pains was about working smarter and enjoying the process,” the band shares. “The first album was a labor of love, but we overthought everything. This time, we kept it simple and leaned on our collaborators.”
The album explores themes of heartache, resilience, and letting go — and finds beauty in the in-between. Growing Pains is the sound of a group that’s not afraid to grow out loud.
