“Somebody Like You” is Tiera Kennedy’s new single about finding strength through someone who truly sees you.
With her unique blend of R&B, country, and gospel, Tiera Kennedy unveils her newest single, “Somebody Like You,” written alongside Cameron Bedell and Jared Scott. The track speaks to the quiet strength that comes from being truly seen by another person.
“We all need somebody—someone who sees you, holds space for you, and helps you get through the hard stuff,” Kennedy says. “Somebody who keeps the light on for you when you’re finding your way back home.”
Filmed in a sunlit Tennessee field, the Kamren Kennedy-directed video adds visual depth to the song’s emotional core, capturing Kennedy’s expressive delivery in a stunning natural setting.
Recently, Tiera was nominated for her first BET Award for her part in “Blackbiird” with Beyoncé, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Reyna Roberts. She also welcomed Ms. Tina Knowles to her Apple Music Radio show, The Tiera Show, for a conversation about her new book MATRIARCH and the journey of motherhood in the spotlight.
Earlier this year, Tiera released her version of “1+1” and toured with The War & Treaty, while also debuting at Stagecoach.
Set to perform at CMA Fest and Vineyard Jam, Tiera Kennedy is turning vulnerability into strength—and soundtracking the moment with songs that hit the heart.
