Sophia Warren confronts uncertainty and identity with the poignant “Purple” and EP “Adesso”.
In her new EP Adesso, Sophia Warren unearths the emotional complexities of identity and healing. The seven-track release — her second in a trilogy — arrives alongside “Purple,” a track that personifies anxiety through sound and symbolism.
Produced by Chris Coady, Adesso is an evocative offering rooted in self-reflection. “The EP asks, who am I without them? What do I truly want?” Warren reflects. “It’s scary, it’s raw, but it’s real.”
The standout track “Purple” emerges as a moment of revelation. “It’s the sound of me facing my anxiety,” she explains, “standing still in the chaos of my own mind.” The color purple, a fusion of emotional red and blue, represents her decision to honor every part of herself — without retreat.
Warren’s use of sonic textures and visual storytelling deepens the project’s resonance. Adesso, meaning “now” in Italian, marks a deliberate step into present-moment awareness and artistic freedom.
