SOFI TUKKER bring fresh energy to Passion Pit’s Sleepyhead with their latest release, Sleepyhead 2025. The track, out now via Animal Talk Records, stays true to the essence of the original while infusing it with dynamic electronic elements fit for today’s dance floors.
For Tucker Halpern, this track represents a full-circle moment. “The original Sleepyhead was a soundtrack to my teenage years. When I met Michael Angelakos, we talked about how much music and the industry have evolved since Manners, and it made sense to introduce this song to a new generation while keeping its nostalgic feel.”
The track has already been embraced by DJs, with John Summit giving it an early spin during his Tahoe Experts Only set. It also marks the relaunch of SOFI TUKKER’s label, Animal Talk Records. “We’re bringing Animal Talk back in 2025, and what better way to start than with this track?” Tucker shares.
