Award-winning Métis artist Robin Cisek returns with a fearless new pop album, “Tempered”
Robin Cisek’s sophomore album Tempered is a striking declaration of independence. Crafted in her home studio, the album spans seven tracks that embrace emotional honesty and technical self-sufficiency.
“Tempered glass is beautiful, but strong under pressure. Too much pressure and it doesn’t just break, it explodes,” Cisek says of the album’s symbolic title.
The Edmonton-based artist’s move toward a self-produced model results in a personal and authentic pop project, with standout tracks like “Leave Me in the Cold” highlighting both emotional and production depth.
Following the mental-health-focused Delicate Minds, Cisek’s Tempered leans into a more experimental sound. She explains, “My music has definitely evolved thanks to me becoming more confident as a producer and artist.”
Lyric videos are in the works for “Reactive” and “Rumor,” with more visuals planned post-release. She will debut the album live at Chromozone Showcase Room in Edmonton on May 30th.
