Reneé Rapp previews ‘BITE ME’ with live-performance video for “Why Is She Still Here?” ahead of August 1 release.

Reneé Rapp shares her latest single “Why Is She Still Here?”, a stripped-down yet emotionally potent track from her upcoming album BITE ME, arriving August 1 via Polydor Records. The release is paired with a live visualizer, where Rapp’s vocals take center stage beneath the glow of a singular spotlight.

This new track joins previously released singles “Mad” and “Leave Me Alone,” each revealing more of the album’s introspective, emotionally charged direction. It also deepens the arc Rapp began with BITE.ME, the interactive website that encouraged fans to explore her world through riddles and references.

In the weeks ahead, Rapp will headline her most ambitious tour to date — a 16-city North American run launching in September. Stops include major arenas like Madison Square Garden and The Kia Forum.

Last year’s highlights included Snow Angel, the debut album that earned Rapp historic streaming success, and her hit collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion on “Not My Fault,” performed live on SNL. With “Why Is She Still Here?” offering a fresh emotional layer, Rapp continues to shape her musical legacy with authenticity and force.
