“new low” explores the fragility of love and mental health. Novulent’s “VOL.3” era begins now.

Novulent returns with a bold new single titled “new low,” out now via Capitol Records. As the lead offering from their forthcoming third album VOL.3, the track dives into the disintegration of mental well-being under the weight of toxic love.

“The song talks about being so desperate to be with someone that you’ve hit a new low mentally to stay with them,” the Texas-based 20-year-old artist explains. “Peeling back their personality more and more, you see how awful they are but, in desperation and wishful thinking, you still stay with them, accepting what they are – a ‘beautiful poison.’”

VOL.3 will be the next installment in Novulent’s emotionally autobiographical album series. Like VOL.1 and VOL.2, the upcoming release will map out the complexities of human connection—this time, through the lens of a single relationship. “Every new song leading up to the album’s release will show, piece-by-piece, the emotional journey that love can take you on,” they share. “It’s never black and white, it’s always grey.”

Novulent’s rise has been steady and deeply rooted in connection. Their 2022 hit “scars” has crossed 111 million streams, and their growth continued with “soul ties,” which remains a streaming favorite. Now, having completed their first-ever headline tour, Novulent’s voice is only getting louder.
