“New Country” ft. Blake Shelton showcases Noah Cyrus’s evolving country identity.
The newest single from Noah Cyrus, “New Country,” is more than just a collaboration—it’s a declaration. Featuring country legend Blake Shelton, the track lands ahead of her next album I WANT MY LOVED ONES TO GO WITH ME, set for release July 11 on RECORDS/Columbia Records.
Cyrus’s songwriting captures a sense of release and forward motion. “It’s a song about finding a new place in life, about walking on your own two feet, and realizing that change is the only thing that’s constant. The only way out is through,” she says.
Having grown her musical roots in folk and indie-pop, Cyrus now embraces a more definitive country sound. The addition of Shelton’s harmonies signals a bridge between generations, adding depth and authenticity.
The upcoming album, produced with Mike Crossey and PJ Harding, features additional collaborations with Fleet Foxes, Ella Langley, and Bill Callahan. Thematically, it’s an exploration of loss, growth, and the search for belonging.
She’ll mark the album’s release with a performance at The Ford in Los Angeles and a headline tour beginning in September.
