‘Island Boyz’ is Myke Towers’ most introspective album yet, blending identity with innovation.

With Island Boyz, Myke Towers offers an expansive 23-track project that is both a tribute to his island upbringing and a vision for the future of Latin urban music. The release sees Towers experimenting with sound, pushing boundaries while staying grounded in his roots.

The project starts with “La Despedida,” a collaboration with DFZM that introduces the emotional themes of vulnerability and reflection. From there, listeners are guided through tracks like “Expectativas,” “Soleao” with Quevedo, and “Surferita” with iZaak—each track offering a unique sonic texture.

“Tengo Celos,” the focus single, stands out with its rhythmic pull and a striking music video directed by Daniel Eguren and produced by Vampire Films. The collaboration behind the visuals adds a bold visual identity to the record.

Towers says, “I wanted it to sound like where I’m from, but also like what I’m living right now. Island Boyz is the realest thing I’ve done to date.” The album serves as a powerful declaration of creative freedom and cultural pride.
