Award-winning comedian Mae Martin debuts their indie rock album I’m A TV on February 27. Listen to two tracks now.
Mae Martin is making their musical debut with the indie rock album I’m A TV, out February 27, 2025 via Universal Music Canada (UMC) and Republic Records. Featuring the newly released tracks “Good Dream” and “Stowaway,” the album captures Mae’s signature vulnerability and humor through an entirely new creative medium.
Produced by Jason Couse and Wes Marskell of The Darcys, I’m A TV offers a nostalgic indie rock sound that Mae describes as “hazy millennial nostalgia.” Drawing on their teenage years in Toronto, the album is a reflection of coming-of-age emotions and the universal challenges of finding your voice.
“I’ve been writing songs since I was a teenager, but I never thought I’d share them,” Mae says. “Writing this album gave me a chance to say what I’ve always wanted to express without the need to find a punchline. It’s an authentic extension of everything I’ve been trying to say across all my creative work.”
UMC Chairman & CEO Jeffrey Remedios praises the album as “an inspiring addition to Mae’s artistry” and celebrates their ability to connect with fans through honesty and humor.
With I’m A TV, Mae Martin transitions seamlessly into music, offering fans a heartfelt glimpse into their life through a new and deeply personal lens.
