Country star Luke Combs debuts “Back In The Saddle,” alongside a NASCAR-themed music video.
Luke Combs continues to deliver heartfelt narratives with his latest single, “Back In The Saddle,” released today with a high-impact music video directed by Tyler Adams. The visual includes special appearances by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Richard Petty—icons whose presence adds personal significance to the project.
The track was co-written by Combs, Dan Isbell, and Jonathan Singleton, and produced by Combs, Singleton, and Chip Matthews. A blend of robust storytelling and Southern energy, “Back In The Saddle” marks a key moment in Combs’ remarkable 2024.
As Combs explained, “So much work goes into making these songs, so much time we spend making them, from the studio writing them to the videos. I got to make the video with Dale Jr. and Richard Petty, which is a total dream come true. My grandpa would be rolling over in his grave in a good way if he knew that I got to hang out with Richard Petty and Dale Jr.”
The release adds to Combs’ impressive momentum. His album Fathers & Sons earned praise for emotional depth, and his chart-topping single “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” has solidified his place in modern country music.
Having recently performed at Bonnaroo and preparing to headline events like Lollapalooza and Newport Folk Festival, Combs is expanding country’s reach. His collaborations span genres, and he’s now tied to projects like Category 10 and high-profile benefit shows.
With “Back In The Saddle,” Luke Combs bridges nostalgia and modernity—keeping country grounded in its roots while galloping confidently into the future.
