Lil Wayne releases “Tha Carter VI” with 19 tracks, featuring MGK, Wyclef Jean, and his sons.
Lil Wayne has unveiled Tha Carter VI, his 14th studio album and the next evolution of the acclaimed Tha Carter legacy. Released via Young Money Entertainment and Republic Records, the album represents over six years of dedicated creative work.
With production led by Lil Wayne, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Wyclef Jean, and others, the album features collaborations with a diverse lineup: Andrea Bocelli, Bono, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, MGK, Kodak Black, and Wayne’s sons, Kameron Carter and Lil Novi.
“Real art can’t be rushed — and y’all know I ain’t never been on nobody’s clock but mine,” Wayne explains. “Been silent but not still. To the fans who’ve been waiting, I love you. This album is for the ones who’ve been riding with me through all Tha Carters. We takin’ it further than ever before with this one. Tunechi back. C6 is here. I’m just bein myself. “The Days” featuring Bono made its public debut during Game 2 of the 2025 NBA Finals, marking the start of the album’s multimedia campaign.
Wayne will celebrate the album’s release with a landmark performance at Madison Square Garden tonight, June 6—his first-ever headline show at the legendary venue.
The Tha Carter VI tour has also been announced. With Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington joining all dates, and NoCap appearing on select stops, the tour will cover North America in celebration of Wayne’s two-decade journey through Tha Carter.
