Josiah Queen delivers Yesterday Is Dead, an uplifting anthem about freedom and letting go of the past. Listen now via Capitol Records/CCMG.

Josiah Queen continues to inspire with his latest single, Yesterday Is Dead, a high-energy, faith-driven anthem about renewal and the power of embracing the future. Out now via Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG), the song follows his viral hit Can’t Steal My Joy featuring Brandon Lake, which has racked up over 12.5 million streams.

Written alongside John Michael Howell, who also produced the track, Yesterday Is Dead is an electrifying blend of Americana and contemporary Christian influences. Queen’s voice soars as he delivers the song’s powerful chorus: “I keep my eyes / On what lies ahead / Today is a new day / Yesterday is dead.”

“‘This song feels like a weight being lifted off my back,’” Queen shares. “‘It’s about leaving behind regret and stepping into the new life Jesus has given me. I hope it brings encouragement to everyone who hears it.’”

Ahead of its release, teasers for the track reached over three million views, building anticipation for its live debut on Fox & Friends Weekend on Easter Sunday (April 20) as part of the 2025 Faith & Friends Concert Series.
