Josh Levi returns with “DON’T GO” and opens up about emotional maintenance on upcoming album “HYDRAULIC”.
Josh Levi’s “DON’T GO” is more than an R&B single—it’s a reflection of emotional upkeep, using the metaphor of hydraulics to portray love’s complexity. Sampling Destiny’s Child’s “No, No, No,” Levi roots the song in his Houston background while channeling forward-facing creative energy.
“Love, like hydraulics, is a system that lifts, dips, and demands care and maintenance… I continue to keep myself functional even when the system – my heart/mind – breaks down so that I can always keep moving,” Levi reveals.
The song marks the beginning of his debut era with HYDRAULIC, due out this summer. The album follows a successful year of performances, including a standout appearance at TwoGether Land and a tour with FLO. In 2025, Spotify also recognized Levi as an “Artist To Watch.”
“DON’T GO” balances rhythm with reflection, offering listeners a taste of what’s to come from a voice ready to define a new wave of R&B honesty.
