Pop duo Jake & Shelby explore new sonic ground with joyful single “You Don’t Know.”

Jake & Shelby return with a vibrant new single, “You Don’t Know,” capturing the joyful awkwardness of infatuation. Emotive yet upbeat, the track showcases the duo’s maturing songwriting and growing sonic versatility.

“When we were writing this song, we were thinking about how we feel so awkward at times around our crush and how it can be so consuming,” they share. “But the funny part is that they don’t even know.”

“You Don’t Know” veers from their typical guitar-first writing process, instead driven by synthesized textures and crisp rhythm. “It was really exciting and fun to make something more pop-leaning!” the duo said.

Their 2025 track “Loophole” paved the way for more introspective writing, and now “You Don’t Know” lightens the mood while retaining lyrical honesty.
