Haiden Henderson’s ‘tension’ EP dives into the emotional waves of a romance without resolution.
Haiden Henderson’s new EP tension, released via LAVA/Republic Records, invites listeners into a journey of emotional complexity, love, and unresolved connection. Across eight tracks, Haiden unpacks the layers of a relationship that shifted from friendship to romance — and then fell apart without clear closure.
Speaking on the project, Haiden reflects: “A friendship-turned-romantic stitches all of these songs together. It complicated my life. tension follows the arc of this situation becoming complicated and falling out… there’s a journey within this project for anyone open to it.”
Lead singles like “lovesucker,” “lips,” and “sweat” introduced listeners to the tone of the EP. The title track “tension” blends haunting guitar with subdued bass and ambient production, capturing the lingering emotion of distance without resolution.
Haiden’s past projects, including Choke on My Heart and lover boy, cemented his presence in the alt-pop space. His viral track “hell of a good time” earned over 25 million streams and drew attention from outlets like Rolling Stone and Vogue.
With The Tension Tour launching in August and a headline show in London scheduled for September, Haiden is set to bring his latest vision to stages across the globe.
