Deltona frame their debut single with that message, and the music follows through.
“We couldn’t be more stoked to have ‘Heartbreak Fix’ out!” says Deltona. “We’ve spent the past year writing countless songs and we’re so proud of what we’ve come up with so far. Our passion is country music and we feel like the time is right for another great country band. We hope you agree, and that you love ‘Heartbreak Fix’ as much as we do!”
‘Heartbreak Fix’ is equal parts anthemic and emotional, bringing gritty Southern storytelling together with big rock riffing and melodies that stay with you. At the center is Georgia bred vocalist Ned Abernathy, who lowers his defenses in an attempt to ease the relationship pain that keeps chasing him.
The trio’s sound lands with clarity. Caleb Miller, an Ohio native, layers guitars that roar, sing high above the track, and settle into a raw acoustic strum. Chris Deaton, from Tennessee, lays down arena sized drumming that gives the song width and lift. Ned’s twang shifts as needed, from soaring lines to a slowed delivery to rhythm that slides, crafting a chorus and verses that can suit both quiet nights and loud rooms.
“I’ll hold up in this house, I’ll drive a thousand miles, do anything to get past this / I’ll put the bottle down, I’ll outdrink any crowd, if there’s a way out / Hell, there ain’t a stone I wouldn’t turn to put back together what’s broke / When it comes to her I don’t know if there’s a heartbreak fix.”
The single was written by the band with Allison Veltz Cruz, whose credits include Jason Aldean and Dierks Bentley, and produced by Jason Massey, associated with Nate Smith and Kelsea Ballerini. It serves as a confident opening chapter for a trio that has already been building steady attention online, nearly 14,000 TikTok followers in about half a year, with posts that spotlight camaraderie, talent, and covers of songs by Aldean, Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Morgan Wallen. Along the way they have previewed demo ideas including ‘Leave the Country’ and ‘Love Don’t Love Me’, pointing toward a growing catalog.
