“Avoidance” is the latest video from CHINCHILLA, highlighting heartbreak, honesty, and artistic vision.
CHINCHILLA dives deep into vulnerability with her new music video for “Avoidance,” directed by Claryn Chong and styled with the help of fashion’s elite. The video symbolizes the emotional chaos of heartbreak, visualized through an elegant and slow-motion fall—representing the anxiety and pain that inspired the song.
Backed by a powerful styling team including Holly Wood and Keko Hainswheeler, CHINCHILLA’s video pairs conceptual visuals with raw lyrical honesty. The track was created in less than an hour after receiving a message that triggered a wave of personal emotion.
“‘Avoidance’ was written when I was going through a really rough break up and received a message in a cab… I fall backwards taking it into a more otherworldly space,” says CHINCHILLA.
The video follows a string of sold-out headline performances and marks the first installment of a three-song summer series. Her upcoming European headline tour begins this fall, with tickets now available. She’s also confirmed to join G Flip on tour in the U.S. in 2025.
