With “Phantom Limb” and deluxe album, Cassyette opens up a personal new chapter. Out now on 23 Recordings.
Cassyette’s deluxe edition of This World Still F***ing Sucks has arrived, introducing a compelling new single “Phantom Limb” and four additional tracks that deepen the emotional arc of her original debut. Released via 23 Recordings, the 19-track edition reflects both closure and renewal.
The new single addresses lingering trauma and healing after toxic relationships. “Phantom limb syndrome is a chronic condition… Phantom limb is about what it’s like to leave someone toxic that never loved you back… I felt like I had to relearn my entire existence,” she says. “Life has changed and something new is bubbling.”
Alongside “Phantom Limb,” the deluxe album features a Lady Gaga-approved cover of “Disease,” an acoustic “When She Told Me,” and a club-inspired take on “Sex Metal,” tying into the launch of Degenerette—a new queer/goth club night.
Known for blending raw emotion with genre-bending sounds, Cassyette has earned acclaim from NME and Kerrang! for her unique voice in alternative music. Previous tracks like “Over It” and “Why Am I Like This?” return here, surrounded by new textures and perspectives.
Degenerette debuted April 19 at Club Revenge in Brighton, showcasing Cassyette’s expanding world and connection with LGBTQIA+ and alt communities.
