Cameron Whitcomb releases “Medusa (Acoustic),” a stripped-back version of his hit single with over 26M global streams.

Cameron Whitcomb has unveiled “Medusa (Acoustic),” a poignant and stripped-down rendition of his fan-favorite single. With over 26 million streams globally, the original version earned a spot among Billboard’s “5 Must-Hear New Country Songs” and showcased Whitcomb’s ability to craft emotionally resonant music.

This release arrives as Whitcomb prepares for a major year ahead. Named to Amazon Music’s 2025 Artists To Watch and Shazam’s Fast Forward 2025, he is also featured on the cover of Apple Music’s Today Country playlist. His upcoming Hundred Mile High Tour, starting on March 13 in Charlotte, NC, includes a sold-out show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on March 28, with an additional performance added on March 24 to meet demand.

Before his US tour, Whitcomb will perform headline shows across Canada in February, followed by a tour of Australia with Sam Barber on the Restless Mind Tour. Most of the Australian dates are already sold out, reflecting Whitcomb’s growing international audience.

In 2024, Whitcomb released his debut EP, Quitter, a deeply personal collection featuring standout tracks like “Love Myself” and “Quitter.” Billboard praised the title track as “an anthemic folk track in the mold of Noah Kahan,” and it became his first song to chart on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, racking up over 42 million streams.
