Calum Hood releases debut solo album ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ and “Sunsetter” video—stream now.
Calum Hood begins a new chapter with the release of ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’, his debut solo album via Capitol Records. After 14 years of performing with 5 Seconds of Summer, Calum takes center stage with a record that’s both personal and profound. Alongside the album comes a poetic visual for the track “Sunsetter.”
The album is a product of emotional exploration and sonic experimentation. “My lyrics come from a place of purity,” Calum shares. “Growing up, the whole reason I wanted to do music was so that I could write songs.”
Built with collaborators like Day Wave’s Jackson Phillips, David Burris, and TMS, the album bridges the analog and digital—representing the tension between order and chaos in Calum’s world.
The album opens with “Don’t Forget You Love Me”, a track praised by Rolling Stone, and continues with intimate songs like “Call Me When You Know Better”, which became a defining moment in the record’s creative arc.
From the delicate energy of “All My Affection” to the dreamlike haze of “Sweetdreams,” every track on ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ adds new depth to Calum’s voice—both figuratively and musically.
With this project, Calum Hood confirms what longtime fans have known all along: he’s a storyteller with something real to say.
