Queen’s ‘I’ll Fly Away’ sets up ‘Mt. Zion’ for Aug 22, with headline dates in Nashville and Tampa, and growing fan response.

“‘I’ll Fly Away is a song of hope, rooted in the promise that this life isn’t the end. It’s about the day we’ll be reunited with our loved ones in Heaven – singing, worshiping, and embracing them once again in the presence of God. I think of family and friends already there and this song feels like my heart is reaching toward that homecoming.”

Josiah Queen places his statement at the center of ‘I’ll Fly Away’. The new single pairs him with Benjamin William Hastings, the singer and writer of ‘So Will I (100 Billion X)’, recorded by Hillsong UNITED, which was a huge influence for Queen as he grew up. The song was written by Queen, Zac Lawson, and John Michael Howell, with production by Hank Bentley, known for work with Brandon Lake and Crowder.

The release points directly to the upcoming album ‘Mt. Zion’, due August 22 via Capitol Records, Capitol Christian Music Group. . Exclusive vinyl, signed CDs and fan packs are available HERE. ‘Mt. Zion’ follows ‘The Prodigal’, Queen’s independently released debut, which entered Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart at No. 1 in June of 2024 and re entered the top five earlier this month. ‘The Prodigal’ has accumulated more than 140 million combined global streams.

Live, the Tampa native turned Nashville resident will mark the album with two headline shows, October 27 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and November 1 at Yuengling Center in Tampa. Tickets for the Ryman date sold out in under 48 hours, limited tickets for Tampa are available HERE. Queen also appeared as special guest on the U.S. leg of Phil Wickham and Brandon Lake’s summer arena tour, which wrapped up earlier this week at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

The song is logging over 5.2 million weekly streams and has charted on Spotify’s Viral 50 in 18 countries, including within the top 10 in the U.S., and within the top 25 on Spotify’s global tally.
