AURORA unveils “You Can’t Run From Yourself” as the new anime theme for Kaiju No. 8 Season 2.

AURORA has released her newest single, “You Can’t Run From Yourself (from Kaiju No. 8),” composed as the opening theme for Season 2 of the beloved anime series. The song showcases the Norwegian artist’s ability to express vulnerability and power through music.

Created exclusively for the show and out via Capitol Records, the track mirrors the emotional journey of Kafka Hibino, a central character in the Kaiju No. 8 storyline. Known for tackling complex themes, AURORA steps fully into the anime world with this poetic addition to her discography.

AURORA notes: “‘You Can’t Run From Yourself (from Kaiju No. 8)’ was written for those who know the struggle between light and darkness…”

Featured in the anime’s official “A New Threat” trailer, the song builds on fan excitement with over 1.5 million views and counting. The series returns July 19 on TV Tokyo and streams worldwide on X.
