“The Mood” by FLO and Kaytranada delivers R&B sophistication, control, and summer-ready vibes.

British R&B innovators FLO and production powerhouse Kaytranada bring together their creative forces on the compelling new track “The Mood.” The single, released via Island Records, embraces themes of agency, desire, and stylish ease, wrapped in Kaytranada’s unmistakable groove.

Describing the essence of the collaboration, FLO shares: “The Mood is a fun and fresh take on sex. Sometimes you’re not in the mood! We made this song two years ago and it still feels brand new to us. We are so honoured to have been able to work with Kaytranada and so happy that the world can enjoy it with us!!! #permissionissexy”

Set against a laid-back yet confident beat, “The Mood” offers more than sonic appeal — it presents an assertive perspective on modern intimacy. It’s a smooth, empowering addition to the FLO catalogue.

The release follows Access All Areas, FLO’s debut album that secured a Top 3 UK chart position, launched them onto the Billboard 200, and drew widespread acclaim. The group now stands as a modern emblem of R&B evolution.
