Riley Green delivers heartfelt acoustic storytelling on new EP “Midtown Sessions.”
With the release of “Midtown Sessions,” country singer-songwriter Riley Green invites listeners into a more personal space—an acoustic environment where his Southern roots and lyrical sincerity shine through. The five-track EP, out now via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment, serves as a back-to-basics moment in Green’s expanding discography.
Green’s recent work has shown a consistent blend of chart success and fan connection, and this acoustic chapter feels like a deliberate return to his foundations. Collaborating again with Erik Dylan on production, Green brings forward songs that emphasize story and soul over studio polish.
Among the highlights is “Worst Way,” a No. 1 single that has achieved Double PLATINUM certification, along with a reworked acoustic version of “The Cowboy in Me,” originally recorded by Tim McGraw. Green also self-produced “Worst Way,” “Jesus Saves,” and “Cowboy In Me,” demonstrating his vision beyond the vocal booth.
The EP’s additional tracks, “Change My Mind” and “Bartender In Destin,” reflect Green’s ear for melody and his grounding in real-life storytelling.
While touring with his Damn Country Music Tour, which spans North America and the UK through November, Green also announced the return of Duckman Jam—his own curated event benefiting wetland conservation through Ducks Unlimited.
Midtown Sessions is Riley Green unplugged, unfiltered, and undeniably grounded in what made country music great in the first place.
