“Ain’t No Dummy,” the new single from Brazen Barbie, mixes playfulness with punch. With her BRAZEN mixtape set to release August 1, Barbie sets the stage with a track full of dualities: glam meets grit, softness meets sharpness.
Produced by David Arcade and mixed by MixedByDaniel, the track’s bounce matches its message. “Ain’t No Dummy is about knowing better and still doing it anyway, but on your terms,” says Barbie. “Being petty but self-aware.”
The video, directed by NBreezy, brings that tension to life visually. “It’s hyper feminine… but looks can be deceiving,” she explains.
Each track on BRAZEN reflects a different inner voice. “BRAZEN is a self portrait,” she says. “The themes… are self worth, resilience, power, and owning every part of myself.”
