Tim Camrose is embracing his creative roots after decades in the medical field. With the release of “Empty Roads,” the UK singer-songwriter pays tribute to the American roads, stories, and reflections that inspired a lifetime of melodies.
“Empty Roads” sets the tone for his forthcoming album, ‘American Stories,’ composed of songs born from travels across Chicago, San Diego, Venice Beach, and beyond. The songs aren’t fiction—they’re memoirs in musical form, shaped by real-life events and emotional memory.
Camrose left music behind as a young adult to pursue medicine, but his passion for songwriting never left him. “Tunes & lyrics would come to him” over the years, waiting to be realized. Now retired, he is ready to give those stories a platform.
Among the emotional highlights of his discography are “Scared Anymore,” written after his brother’s passing, and “Didn’t Say,” dedicated to his late parents. His track “A Light in the Dark” honors homeless youth, drawn from his own experience as a doctor caring for them.
Through it all, Camrose carries the spirit of his influences—Springsteen, Joel, John—while adding his own depth and sincerity.
