Will Smith releases “Pretty Girls,” a fresh summer anthem, as he gears up for his debut headlining tour.
Will Smith’s artistic evolution continues with the release of “Pretty Girls,” a playful, feel-good single produced by OmArr and Lexoskeleton. Dropping alongside a colorful music video directed by Conor Cunningham, the track adds another standout to Smith’s recently released album, Based on a True Story.
The album—his first in 20 years—features a range of collaborators, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor, and Jac Ross. Tracks like “Beautiful Scars,” “TANTRUM,” and the gospel-inspired “You Can Make It” offer a glimpse into Smith’s layered, genre-spanning approach.
“You Can Make It,” featuring Fridayy and Sunday Service Choir, recently claimed the top spot on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart. Its BET Awards debut was a powerful moment of artistry and resilience, setting the tone for what’s next.
That “next” is the Based on a True Story Summer Tour—Smith’s first-ever headlining run. Beginning July 13 in Hamburg, the tour will span key stops in Europe, Morocco, and the UK, including performances at Mawazine, POSITIV, Dreambeach, and BIG ART Festival.
With “Pretty Girls” adding a playful tone to the album’s emotional arc, Smith proves once again that reinvention is part of his DNA. Music, message, and movement—all aligned in a new era for one of entertainment’s most iconic names.
