A powerful reflection on self-worth and identity, Gold Fang’s “Facelift” sets the tone for his 2025.

For his first release of the year, Gold Fang strips it back to what matters most: voice, culture, and truth. “Facelift” featuring 1st Klase is an introspective dive into the pressures of artistry and the pursuit of authenticity.

The Trinidadian-Australian artist, known for his genre-blending agility, wrote the track with J.Ar.J while in the UK on a Music Australia-sponsored trip. His message is simple but powerful: “Everything is a uphill battle…Facelift is taking what we deserve.”

A longstanding figure in Trinidad’s dancehall scene, 1st Klase brings his distinctive sonic texture to the track, while Rael Luvi’s video ties it all together with imagery shot on home soil. Gold Fang reflects, “Being a dancehall/trinibad artist in a soca-driven scene…it was a perfect match up.”

Building from the foundation laid by his acclaimed mixtape SMOOVE KILLA, this latest release reinforces why Gold Fang’s voice continues to resonate with audiences hungry for something honest and genre-free.
