Naomi Sharon shares title track to her new EP “The Only Love We Know,” out May 9 via OVO Sound.
Naomi Sharon is stepping into a new light with The Only Love We Know, her forthcoming EP set to release May 9 via OVO Sound. Accompanying the announcement is the release of the project’s title track, a moody and reflective piece that marks a key moment in her evolving discography.
Having built a name on her soulful voice and evocative lyricism, Sharon uses this latest project to shift focus inward. Executive produced by Jordan Ullman of Majid Jordan, the EP embraces themes of emotional resilience and self-empowerment.
“This EP is more about finding happiness within yourself and embracing the positive things in life,” says Sharon. “True love comes from within.”
Much of the project’s atmosphere is rooted in the music she grew up with. “The music my father loved was also a big influence, especially deep house and artists featured on Buddha-Bar compilations,” she shares. “That aesthetic… has now been translated into this EP.”
Naomi Sharon continues to blend her Dutch and Caribbean background with genre-fluid influences, producing music that resonates with a global audience. The first female signee to OVO Sound, her resume includes collaborations with Noah “40” Shebib and recognition as one of Spotify’s R&B Rising Artists To Watch for 2024.
With The Only Love We Know, Sharon reflects on what it means to grow, move forward, and find strength in solitude—without losing the heart that defines her artistry.
