Ally Salort paints a vivid picture of heartbreak in new single “Horror Movie,” out via Disruptor/RCA Records.
With “Horror Movie,” Ally Salort introduces a striking new single that merges emotional depth with evocative storytelling. Released via Disruptor Records/RCA Records, the track positions love as a chilling narrative filled with suspense and vulnerability—tapping into the signature sound that has defined her emerging career.
“Horror movie is one big metaphor for going back to a person that will hurt you every time,” Ally reveals. “Opening the door (the relationship) that everyone around you is screaming for you to not open; very similar to the girl that dies first in every scary film. I had the lines ‘I’m damned if I do but I’ll be more damned if I don’t’ and from there we wrote the chorus. Can’t wait for people to hear the whole thing!”
Salort’s musical background began in Maplewood, NJ, and she quickly gravitated toward performance. A pivotal moment came at 14 when a talent search flew her to Los Angeles, giving her a taste of the music industry and sparking her drive to grow her platform through YouTube and TikTok.
She recently completed a European tour alongside Mackenzy Mackay and is in the midst of crafting her debut EP. With artistic roots influenced by Fiona Apple and Ariana Grande, Ally continues to explore emotional honesty through music that challenges and connects.
