Reggaeton artists DIA and Paopao unveil “CON EL,” a groundbreaking track that blends emotion and innovation.

DIA, a rising phenomenon in Puerto Rican music, has teamed up with Paopao for their latest single, “CON EL.” Released under Casablanca Records, the track delivers a fresh, genre-defying approach to reggaeton. Fans can stream the single now on all platforms and watch the visually captivating music video.

The collaboration between DIA and Paopao is a standout, offering a harmonious blend of their distinct musical styles. DIA’s passionate verses over vibrant marimba synths and a pounding reggaeton rhythm set the stage, leading to Paopao’s smooth, heartfelt delivery. Together, they craft an anthem that’s both experimental and emotionally resonant, showcasing reggaeton’s evolving versatility.

Speaking about the process, DIA shared, “I started working on the song with Red Finger (producer), and from the moment I wrote the intro, I instantly thought of Paopao. She gives her fans that pleasant sadness in her songs. We got together in the studio, and it flowed easily. We wanted to take ‘regret’ in a different direction, and storytelling through my songs is something that identifies me. We merged both worlds together, and it resulted in ‘CON EL.’”

The music video amplifies the track’s emotional tone. DIA is seen sorting through the remnants of a breakup, a plush toy acting as a poignant reminder of his past. Meanwhile, Paopao approaches but ultimately steps away from DIA’s door, embodying the song’s themes of moving forward while cherishing what’s left behind.
