Amber Mark’s “Sink In” blends jazz and Jersey club, featuring intimate lyrics and sounds, previewing her next EP.
Amber Mark has released her latest single “Sink In,” showcasing her skills as a songwriter, producer, and performer. The track, part of her upcoming EP on PMR / Interscope Records, merges jazz piano with Jersey club vibes, creating an intimate, late-night groove.
Fans got a glimpse of her process in an Instagram clip that featured her cat Moosh, whose purr was even recorded for the track. The EP, which she describes as “loose, sweaty, and a little dance-floor,” is a special project she created while working on her full album.
Following tracks like “Won’t Cry” and “Space & Time,” “Sink In” continues to highlight Amber Mark’s ability to push genre boundaries, solidifying her place as an innovative voice in today’s music.
Opening with a rhythmic loop of keys and percussion, “Sink In” sets a moody tone. Mark teases with lines like “I’ve had enough of parking lots and innocence,” before layering on double meanings and an intensifying beat. At one point, her lyrics are punctuated by a knock, adding depth to the auditory experience.
